NCT ID NCT07328191
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at adults with advanced myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) or acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are receiving palliative care. Instead of giving blood transfusions based only on a fixed hemoglobin level, researchers will use a quality-of-life questionnaire to decide when transfusions are needed. The goal is to reduce the number of transfusions while keeping patients safe and comfortable.
