New hip block aims to ease Post-Surgery pain

NCT ID NCT07591311

First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a new type of nerve block, called the Quadro-Iliac Plane (QIP) block, helps people recover better after hip replacement surgery. Researchers will compare it to other standard blocks by measuring pain, how quickly people get up and move, and overall recovery quality. About 80 adults having hip surgery will take part, and their care will follow usual hospital routines.
