Engineered immune cells injected into the brain take on childhood cancers
NCT ID NCT05768880
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests a new treatment for children and young adults with certain hard-to-treat brain tumors, including DIPG and DMG. The treatment uses the patient's own immune cells, which are modified in a lab to recognize and attack tumor cells, then delivered directly into the fluid-filled spaces of the brain. The main goals are to see if this approach is safe and to find the best dose for future studies.
