New nerve block aims to ease hip surgery pain

Summary
This study tests whether a special nerve block (QL block) can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after hip replacement surgery. About 80 adults having a planned hip replacement will take part. The study will measure pain levels and how quickly patients can stand up after surgery.
