Summary
This early-stage study is testing an experimental treatment called QEL-005 in adults with two severe autoimmune conditions: a severe skin and lung disease (systemic sclerosis) and hard-to-treat rheumatoid arthritis. The treatment involves taking a patient's own immune cells, modifying them in a lab to potentially better control the immune system, and then infusing them back. The main goals are to see if this approach is safe and to look for early signs that it might help reduce disease activity.
