NCT ID NCT06355414

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a single high dose of psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) can help people with both chronic low back pain and depression. About 40 adults will receive either psilocybin or a control drug, then complete surveys and tests over one month. The goal is to see if psilocybin improves positive emotions and reduces negative thoughts about pain.
