Summary
This study looks at whether proton therapy can safely treat tumors that have come back after earlier radiation. Standard X-ray radiation can harm healthy tissue, so doctors often give lower doses that may not fully kill the tumor. Proton therapy is more precise, potentially allowing a stronger dose with fewer side effects. The trial will enroll 1,800 adults with various cancers to track safety and effectiveness over one year.
