Summary

This study is testing proton beam therapy for people with esophageal cancer. Researchers believe it will control the tumor as well as standard radiation but cause fewer severe side effects. The trial is measuring patients' symptoms, quality of life, and treatment toxicity to see if the newer therapy is easier to tolerate.
