Summary
This study tested a new treatment for advanced liver cancer that has spread into the main blood vessels of the liver. 63 patients received proton beam radiation to the tumor, followed by a combination of atezolizumab (immunotherapy) and bevacizumab (targeted therapy). The goal was to see if this approach could slow cancer growth and improve survival. The study was completed and measured how long patients lived without the cancer getting worse.
