Summary

This study looks at whether adding protein supplements to a weight-loss plan (diet plus the drug semaglutide) helps overweight or obese adults lose more weight, keep muscle, and avoid gaining weight back. About 140 people will take part in a 3-month program and be followed for 6 more months. The goal is to find better ways to manage weight and improve health.

Study facts

What this study's own registry entry says, in plain language.

Phase

Not a phased trial

Phase numbers describe drug development. The registry uses this when they do not apply, as it does for trials of devices, procedures or behaviour changes, and for observational studies.

Participants

About 140 people

The number the study aims to enrol. It can still change while the study runs.
