First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether eating too much protein, especially from animal sources, might increase the risk of heart disease. Researchers will study blood samples from 24 adults aged 45-75 to see how protein affects immune cells linked to artery plaque buildup. The goal is to understand the mechanisms involved, not to test a treatment.
