First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested whether a combination of physical exercise, mental challenges, a healthy diet, and social activities can protect memory and thinking in older adults at risk for Alzheimer's. Researchers enrolled 2,000 sedentary Americans with low diet scores but no current memory problems. The goal was to see if these lifestyle changes could slow or prevent cognitive decline.
