Heartburn drug could boost Last-Line prostate cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT04337580
Summary
This study is testing if adding a common heartburn medication (omeprazole) to a standard chemotherapy drug (cabazitaxel) can better control advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to other treatments. It will involve about 50 men whose cancer has progressed despite prior therapies. The main goal is to see if the drug combination shrinks tumors and reduces pain more effectively than the chemotherapy alone.
