Nerve-Sparing radiation aims to protect sexual function in prostate cancer patients

NCT ID NCT03525262

First seen Jun 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a precise type of radiation (SAbR) that avoids the nerves near the prostate can help men with localized prostate cancer keep their ability to have erections. About 124 men will be randomly assigned to standard SAbR or a nerve-sparing version. The goal is to see if the nerve-sparing approach reduces erectile problems without affecting cancer control.
