New radiation approach aims to zap prostate cancer with fewer side effects
NCT ID NCT06284304
Summary
This study is testing a new, shorter radiation schedule for men with intermediate-risk prostate cancer. The goal is to see if delivering a lower overall dose to the healthy prostate, while focusing a higher dose on the tumor, can reduce treatment side effects like urinary and bowel problems. Researchers will use a special MRI-guided machine to deliver the radiation and will monitor patients for two years to check if the cancer remains controlled.
