Two shots vs. five: testing a faster prostate cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT06325046
Summary
This study is testing if a shorter, more precise form of radiation therapy is as effective as the standard longer course for treating prostate cancer that hasn't spread. Men with localized prostate cancer will be randomly assigned to receive either two treatments of a newer, adaptive radiation or five treatments of the standard type. The main goal is to see if the shorter treatment causes fewer side effects and less impact on quality of life, particularly for bowel and urinary function.
