New study aims to improve prostate cancer detection with smarter biopsies

Summary

This study compares two prostate biopsy techniques to find which better detects aggressive prostate cancers while avoiding overdiagnosis of harmless ones. About 592 men with a suspicious MRI finding will be randomly assigned to one of two biopsy methods. The goal is to improve accuracy and reduce unnecessary procedures.
