Scientists hunt for prostate cancer clues in urine and blood
NCT ID NCT05141383
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study collected urine and blood samples from 80 men, including those with prostate cancer, those with suspected cancer, and healthy volunteers. The goal was to find new biomarkers (biological clues) that could help diagnose prostate cancer or predict how it will progress, without needing a tissue biopsy. Researchers focused on long non-coding RNA molecules found in these liquid samples to see if they can improve current testing methods.
