First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at whether progressive muscle relaxation exercises (tensing and relaxing different muscle groups) could help nursing students with depression, anxiety, and stress. 104 students were split into two groups: one did the relaxation exercises for 4 weeks, the other did not. Researchers measured changes in mood and outlook before and after the program.
