New study uses MRI to predict prostate cancer radiation success

NCT ID NCT06822491

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at 28 men with intermediate to high-risk prostate cancer who are getting a precise type of radiation called stereotactic body radiotherapy. The goal is to see if early MRI scans can show whether the main tumor is responding to treatment, and if that matches changes in PSA levels. Researchers hope this will help doctors know sooner if the radiation is working.
