Summary
This study tests whether two probiotic supplements, TCI378 and TCI507, can help adults lose weight and improve blood fats. 96 participants with a BMI of 24 or higher (or high body fat) take one capsule daily for two months. Researchers will measure changes in body fat, cholesterol, and other health markers.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Probiotics (TCI378 and TCI507)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, these probiotics could offer a safe, natural option to help with weight management and improve cholesterol levels.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial with no blinding, so results may be influenced by placebo effects. Weight loss from probiotics is typically modest and not guaranteed.
