Summary

This study tested whether taking probiotics could help patients with ulcerative colitis stay in remission and control their disease. Researchers followed 70 Egyptian adults whose colitis was already in a quiet phase. They measured symptoms and gut bacteria over one year to see if the probiotic treatment made a difference.
