Gut bugs for better lungs? probiotics tested for COPD relief

NCT ID NCT07339280

Summary

This study is testing whether taking a daily probiotic supplement can help people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) breathe easier and feel better. Sixty adults with stable COPD will take either the probiotic or a placebo pill for 16 weeks while continuing their usual treatments. Researchers will measure changes in shortness of breath, lung function, and signs of inflammation to see if the supplement helps.
