First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking the probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) can prevent or reduce changes in gut bacteria caused by common acid reflux medications (PPIs). Researchers will compare stool samples from 30 healthy adults taking a PPI plus either LGG or a placebo. The goal is to understand how probiotics might help maintain a healthy gut microbiome during PPI use.
