Special glasses tested to ease severe chronic pain
NCT ID NCT07370012
Summary
This study tested whether a therapy using special prism glasses could help reduce pain and improve function in people with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a severe and often hard-to-treat pain condition. 54 patients with CRPS Type 1, mostly following a wrist fracture, were randomly assigned to receive either standard physical therapy or standard therapy plus the prism adaptation therapy. The goal was to see if adding this visual-motor training could provide better relief from pain and other symptoms.
