Could a simple radio wave device ease your knee pain?
NCT ID NCT07351981
First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a non-invasive treatment called pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) for chronic knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. Half of the 50 participants will receive the real PRF treatment, and the other half will receive a fake (sham) treatment, so we can see if PRF truly helps reduce pain and improve knee function. The study lasts 6 months and includes adults aged 40-75 who have not found relief from standard treatments like painkillers or physical therapy.
