Blood-Derived face cream boosts skin hydration and elasticity in small trial

NCT ID NCT07359924

First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether a face cream containing platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) — a substance made from a person's own blood — could improve skin aging. Twenty healthy volunteers aged 20–40 applied three different creams to their face for four weeks. The PRF cream improved skin hydration, elasticity, and barrier function more than a plain cream or one with growth factor alone. The results suggest PRF creams are safe and effective for reducing signs of skin aging.
