Summary
This study tested whether regular eye injections of a drug called aflibercept could prevent the 'wet' form of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in people at high risk. 128 participants received either the drug or a sham injection. The goal was to see if the drug could stop the disease from developing over two years.
