Timing is everything: new study tests meal and exercise schedule to fight muscle loss

NCT ID NCT07075133

First seen Jun 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether eating only during early hours and exercising in the afternoon can prevent muscle loss (sarcopenia) in postmenopausal women who have obesity and type 2 diabetes. About 45 women will follow a 12-week program combining early time-restricted eating with either morning or afternoon exercise. The goal is to see which timing works best for improving muscle strength and blood sugar control.
