Mouthwash tested to shield cancer patients from painful drug side effect

NCT ID NCT07357597

Summary

This study aims to see if a steroid mouthwash can prevent or reduce the severity of painful mouth sores (stomatitis) in people with advanced breast or lung cancer who are being treated with the drug Dato-DXd. About 100 participants will use the mouthwash daily while receiving their standard cancer treatment. The main goal is to measure how many people develop significant mouth sores and how bad they get.
