Hospital stay no longer means decline: new study tests exercise and nutrition for seniors
NCT ID NCT07124338
First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
About one in three older adults lose the ability to care for themselves during a hospital stay. This study tests whether a structured exercise program, with or without a personalized nutrition plan, can prevent this decline. Researchers will include 25 patients aged 70+ in a geriatric ward to see if the approach is practical and effective.
