NCT ID NCT07346677
Summary
This study aims to find the best topical treatment to prevent phlebitis, a painful inflammation of the veins, in patients receiving chemotherapy. Researchers will compare three substances—sesame oil, aloe vera gel, and nitroglycerin ointment—applied to the skin where the IV is placed. The trial will involve 190 adult patients with breast or colon cancer who are receiving specific chemotherapy drugs through a standard IV line.
