Summary

This study tested two different skin cleansers used before C-sections to see which one better prevents wound infections. About 1,400 women having a C-section at one hospital were randomly assigned to get either a 4% chlorhexidine water solution or a 2% chlorhexidine with alcohol solution. Researchers tracked infections within 30 days after delivery and also looked at costs.
