First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tested two different skin cleansers used before a C-section to see which one better prevents wound infections. About 1,400 women having a C-section were randomly assigned to get either a 4% chlorhexidine water solution or a 2% chlorhexidine with alcohol solution. The goal was to find out which cleaner reduces infections like wound infections, endometritis, and other serious complications within 30 days after delivery.
