First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a daily 30-minute nerve stimulation treatment (like a gentle electrical pulse on the ankle) in people with recent spinal cord injury. The goal is to prevent bladder overactivity that can damage the kidneys. 114 participants in Switzerland will receive either real or sham stimulation for 6-9 weeks, and their bladder function will be checked one year later.
