Trial tests which steroid better shields cancer patients from drug reactions

NCT ID NCT07101445

Summary

This study aims to find the best premedication to prevent allergic reactions to motixafortide, a drug that helps collect stem cells for transplant in multiple myeloma patients. Researchers are comparing two common steroids, dexamethasone and methylprednisolone, given alongside other allergy medications before the motixafortide injection. The goal is to see which steroid regimen causes fewer side effects and reactions while still allowing successful stem cell collection.
