Trial tests new premedication to ease side effects for myeloma patients

NCT ID NCT07101445

Summary

This study aims to find the best premedication to reduce allergic reactions to a drug called motixafortide, which helps collect stem cells for a transplant in multiple myeloma patients. It will compare the standard steroid, dexamethasone, against another steroid, methylprednisolone, to see which one is safer and more effective at preventing reactions. The goal is to improve the patient experience during this critical step in their treatment.
