Scientists test TB drug safety in weakened kidneys
NCT ID NCT03896750
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a tuberculosis drug called pretomanid is processed by the body in people with different levels of kidney function. It involved 12 participants, some with healthy kidneys and some with mild to severe kidney impairment. Each person received a single dose of the drug so researchers could measure its levels and safety in the blood and urine over time.
