First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using press needles (tiny needles taped to the skin) on body and ear acupuncture points, along with regular medication, can reduce symptoms and improve quality of life for people with functional dyspepsia (chronic stomach discomfort without a clear cause). About 38 adults will be randomly assigned to get either real press needles or fake ones for 14 days. They will fill out questionnaires about their symptoms and well-being at the start, on day 7, and on day 14.
