Simple blood test may predict radiation complications in breast cancer patients

Summary
This study looks at whether a special blood test (NovaGray RILA Breast®) can predict serious side effects from radiotherapy in women who have had a mastectomy with immediate breast implant reconstruction. About 250 adults with breast cancer will take the test before starting chest radiation. The goal is to see if the test can identify who is at higher risk for capsular contracture (hardening of the breast implant). If successful, this could help doctors personalize treatment plans.
