Scientists seek early warning system for dangerous pregnancy condition

NCT ID NCT07144839

Summary

This study aims to develop a prediction model for placental insufficiency, a condition where the placenta doesn't work properly and can lead to stillbirth and other serious pregnancy complications. Researchers will monitor 640 pregnant participants throughout pregnancy using ultrasound and blood tests to identify patterns that predict problems. The goal is to create a tool that helps doctors identify at-risk pregnancies earlier to improve outcomes for both mothers and babies.
