New model could spare prostate cancer patients unnecessary surgery
NCT ID NCT06807398
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study aimed to improve how doctors predict whether prostate cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes. Researchers combined patient information, MRI scans, and genetic data from 367 men who had their prostate removed. The goal was to create a more accurate tool to help decide who truly needs lymph node removal, avoiding unnecessary procedures and their risks.
