First seen Feb 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a quick ultrasound scan before anesthesia can predict if a patient will have dangerously low blood pressure after going to sleep for brain surgery. Researchers will measure the size of a large vein and an artery in the belly. The goal is to find a simple, non-invasive way to improve safety during surgery. The study will enroll 36 adults scheduled for planned brain surgery.
