New heart scan aims to predict dangerous Post-Surgery heart rhythms
NCT ID NCT03962166
Summary
This study aims to see if new heart monitoring methods can better predict which patients will develop irregular heartbeats after open-heart surgery. Researchers will follow 100 patients having their first elective heart surgery, using special ECG scans and heart ultrasounds before and after their operation. The goal is to identify patients at risk so they can be monitored more closely, not to provide a new treatment.
