New heart scan could predict dangerous Post-Surgery heart rhythms
NCT ID NCT03962166
Summary
This study aims to identify patients at risk of developing irregular heartbeats after open-heart surgery. Researchers are testing whether special heart scans (wavECG and echocardiography) can predict which patients will experience these rhythm problems. The study observes 100 patients undergoing first-time elective heart surgery to see if these new methods can improve prediction compared to current approaches.
