New scans aim to spot hidden heart damage from cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT04901884
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to predict which cancer patients might develop heart or lung problems after receiving radiation therapy to the chest. Researchers will use special combined PET/MRI scans and blood tests on 40 patients before and after their radiation treatment. The goal is to identify early warning signs that could help doctors monitor and manage these side effects sooner.
