Could a simple questionnaire predict your risk during a colonoscopy?
NCT ID NCT03436381
Summary
This study aimed to see if a person's weight and their answers to short sleep apnea questionnaires could help predict who might have breathing or sedation problems during common procedures like colonoscopy or upper endoscopy. Researchers followed 350 adults with a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher who were scheduled for these elective procedures. The goal was to gather knowledge to make these common procedures safer by identifying higher-risk patients in advance.
