Simple Pre-Op check could flag breathing risks for weight loss surgery patients
NCT ID NCT07303205
Summary
This study aims to find out if a quick breathing measurement taken before surgery can predict which patients might have low oxygen levels after weight loss surgery. Researchers will observe 80 patients having bariatric surgery, checking their pre-surgery scores and then monitoring their oxygen for the first 12 hours after the operation. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors better identify and prepare for potential breathing complications.
