Can a quick Pre-Op test predict Post-Surgery breathing problems?

NCT ID NCT07303205

Summary

This study aims to find out if a simple breathing measurement taken before surgery can predict which patients will have low oxygen levels in the first 12 hours after weight loss surgery. Researchers will observe 80 adults undergoing bariatric surgery, measuring their breathing score before the operation and monitoring their oxygen levels afterward. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors identify and prepare for potential breathing complications.
