Could a quick breathing test predict who fails to come off a ventilator?
NCT ID NCT05358405
Summary
This study aimed to see if a simple breathing test, called the Müller maneuver, could predict which intensive care patients on ventilators would develop fluid in their lungs when trying to breathe on their own. The goal was to find an easier alternative to a more complex test to help doctors better prepare for potential breathing trial failures. The study was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled.
